[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\u201cMorgan Freeman played God in the 2003 film \u201cBruce Almighty,\u201d appearing as both a homeless citizen and a man dressed up in a pure white suit. His booming voice and power were enough to make him God in that film.<\/p>\n

But Freeman himself took that one step further. In a post-film interview,\u00a0 Freeman said he was<\/em> God \u2014 and for two reasons. First, Freeman said humans are created by God, and are thus a reflection of him. Second, God is whatever people want him to be and what they interpret him as, and thus we are the makers of our own God.\u201d\u00a0 Source: Deseret.com<\/p>\n

There is some truth in the words Freeman spoke.\u00a0 Most of us have heard the phrase, \u201cwe are pieces of God\u201d.\u00a0 While listening to a spiritual leader on a radio talk show recently, I heard this statement again, \u201cYou are a piece of God\u201d.<\/p>\n

I paused and asked myself, \u201cIf we are pieces of God, then what does God really look like?\u201d.\u00a0 Do we see God as does Morgan Freeman\u2026whatever we want God to look like?<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”We know that God, or the Divine, in its truest form, is pure love, goodness, power, refinement and Grace.” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:40|text_align:center|color:%2331849b” google_fonts=”font_family:Marck%20Script%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css=”.vc_custom_1691378344403{margin-bottom: 5% !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]God is everything good.<\/p>\n

I believe that within the chasm our hearts reside this same pure goodness. \u00a0I have felt it.\u00a0 I\u2019ve seen it in others. You may have too.<\/p>\n

God not only lives deep within our hearts; it also expresses itself through our personalities.<\/p>\n

The piece of the Divine expressing through me, however, is very different from the Divine that expresses itself through you.\u00a0 Our individual personalities have opportunities to express zest for life, be in awe of a majestic sunset, and become giddy with wonder as the wind rushes through our hair on a cool autumn day.<\/p>\n

If I were to describe with a few adjectives the God that expresses through me, I would say I am light-hearted yet serious, adventurous, yet introspective, sensitive, yet out-going.<\/p>\n

So, I asked myself, if I truly believe that I am a piece of God expressing as my wondrous self, wouldn\u2019t my life be deliciously different and delightful?\u00a0\u00a0 And wouldn\u2019t knowing this also cause me to dive unapologetically into the excitement and opportunity of life?<\/p>\n

Think about this: If I am God and you are God, all living on this planet together, shouldn\u2019t life be more fun, deeply meaningful, and deliciously adventurous?<\/p>\n

Shouldn\u2019t we have more appreciation for each other?[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”And if we could have more fun, and appreciate each other more, wouldn\u2019t we finally feel as though we were enough?
\nWouldn\u2019t we finally feel as if we mattered?” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:40|text_align:center|color:%2331849b” google_fonts=”font_family:Marck%20Script%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css=”.vc_custom_1691378604434{margin-bottom: 5% !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Perfectionism would end.\u00a0\u00a0 Our endless competition with each other would come to a halt.\u00a0 Ambitions would be focused upon one sacred cause \u2013 the cause of mutually loving and supporting our planet and each other.<\/p>\n

I believe this focused cause is what others have described as Oneness.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”When we intend to live within the presence of oneness, from the goodness of our hearts,
\nwe will attain the goal of looking, acting and being the likeness of God.” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:40|text_align:center|color:%2331849b” google_fonts=”font_family:Marck%20Script%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css=”.vc_custom_1691378623675{margin-bottom: 5% !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In my younger years, I may have missed the \u2018Oneness\u2019 boat, but I strive to live it now and express it in my own way, as a reflection of goodness.<\/p>\n
